What is the benefit of diamond reinforced and pressure cast aluminum?
Diamonds have the best thermal conductivity of all materials and have intrinsic non-stick and self release properties. 6mm pressure cast aluminum the best heat conductor for pots and pans. This results in a perfectly flat pan base, perfect heat distribution, no hot spots and superior heat retention. The thickness of the Swiss Diamond pan base has been scientifically determined to provide fast and even heating. Swiss Diamond Cookware can be used on ceramic, halogen, gas, electric, solid plat and radiant ring cook tops. We also have a unique induction line. The pan base thickness combined with the diamond reinforced surface allows for perfect browning, searing and deglazing.

What is the benefit of the patented Swiss Diamond nonstick surface technology?
Diamond crystals combined in the patented non-stick, nano-composite forms an incredibly durable cooking surface that is superior to all other non-stick cookware. Diamonds are the hardest material known to man, which allows for easy cleanup in the dishwasher and the use of metal utensils. Swiss Diamond is also oven safe up to 260°C.

Does Swiss Diamond surface contain “TEFLON”?
NO! The Swiss Diamond coating does not contain any Teflon taking into consideration that “Teflon” is a trade mark, made and owned by “DUPONT”. “Teflon” is a general name describing big range of products that answer the needs of many industries, to learn more about it, please check the web site: www.teflon.com. Our unique coating composition is manufactured by us, and without any components from DUPONT. Consumers usually confuse “Teflon” and PTFE and in the following paragraphs we explain more about PTFE.

Do Swiss Diamond products contain “PTFE”?
YES!
PTFE is the component that gives non-stick properties to the surface of the cookware and many other consumers’ products. Our patented inherent slippery coating is reinforced with Diamond Crystals which are amalgamated into a nano-composite (mixture of extremely thin particles). Thus it requires lower quantity of PTFE, much lower than most of other non-stick products.

What is “PFOA”?
“PFOA” means (Perfluorooctanoic Acid) and is an agent used in the manufacture of PTFE, It is certainly right that the “PFOA” could be hazardous to the health if not properly eliminated in the fabrication processes while manufacturing the PTFE.

Do you have “PFOA” in your “PTFE”?
NO!!!
The reasons are that the nano-composite containing real Diamond Crystals requires such high temperatures in the production process that any particle of PFOA which might have been contained in the PTFE will be eliminated thus NO PFOA can be traced on Swiss Diamond products’.

We have a test result from the Danish Technological Institute, clearly testifying that our products do not include PFOA.

Are there any further health concerns to be observed when cooking with Swiss Diamond?
NO!
As long as you handle your Swiss Diamond cookware with care:
1. Do not overheat it
2. Keep it clean after use
3. Use it for cooking only, not as long term food storage box
4. Don’t abuse aggressively with metal utensils

What heat settings do you recommend?
That depends on the task at hand. For frying and sautéing, use a medium to medium high setting to bring the pan to working temperature, and then add seasoning and food. For stir frying, browning and searing, preparing pasta water etc. medium high to high heat is needed. All Swiss Diamond assortments are temperature safe to 260° C. Since each stove top is different, play with the settings until the desired effect is reached.

Can I expect to see scratches in the pan when using metal spatulas?
The pan surface over time will look used, including scuff marks from any spatula. This is equally expected and does not interfere with the performance of the pan. We recommend not actually cutting or chopping in the pan surface. This would ruin a good knife! We also don’t recommend using an electric beater in the pans.

Any tips on cleaning?
Swiss Diamond Cookware recommends cleaning with hot, sudsy water. Do not use abrasive detergents, oven cleaners, or scouring pads which may affect the quality of the non-stick surface. The outside can be cleaned with warm, soapy water. Swiss Diamond Cookware may be cleaned in the dishwasher, but we strongly recommend washing by hand as the harsh, caustic dishwasher cleaners may reduce the non-stick performance over time. To maintain the attractive appearance and cooking efficiency of your cookware, it is important that it be thoroughly cleaned after each use. If not properly maintained, a thin layer of food particles or grease may become carbonized when reheated and cause food to stick.

Where are the diamonds mined?
The diamonds, used in our special, patented, coating, are provided in the form of an extremely fine powder. Since Switzerland is not a source for such powder, we source it through reputable suppliers mainly in the USA.

These suppliers are subject to the same restrictions and regulations as other diamond dealers.

Can the aluminum in Swiss Diamonds’ products cause Alzheimer sickness?
NO!
It has been published that Aluminum could cause diseases such as Alzheimer. Due to the hardness and thickness of Swiss Diamond, Diamond crystals and high-quality nano-composite coating, the food items, NEVER will be in contact with the Aluminum cast and thus there is absolutely no risk and no health concerns to be observed.

FACTS: Swiss Diamond products, exceeds largely the quality standards given and required by the World’s different health authorities.

Are the materials used by Swiss Diamond controlled by the health authorities?
All our products, raw materials and manufacturing processes are strictly monitored and controlled by the severe Swiss 'health and safety' authorities.

Can I use your pan on an induction cooktop?
We carry 2 lines of products; 'Standard' and 'Induction'. If you use an induction cooktop make sure you buy an induction model. The standard line is based on a high quality coated aluminum casting, which despite its numerous advantages is not suitable for an induction cooktop (It has to do with the physical properties of the metal). The induction model on the other hand, is designed for optimum performance on the induction cooktop.
